Did you know that you can help our district earn money by recycling paper here at school? You can bring in any paper (no cardboard please) to the green and yellow bin marked Paper Retriever located in Lakeview's parking lot to be recycled. The more paper we collect, the more money we can earn. The provider of the bin uses the paper to make newsprint, which is then sold to other companies. That is how we are paid to recycle paper. Thank you for your help (and for helping the environment at the same time!)
Curriculum Updates:
Reading: Our realistic fiction novel study will come to an end this week. I think all the students have enjoyed reading these novels and working with many important skills. As we conclude our study, students will be doing some concluding activities and/or projects.
Math: We have now moved into a "mini-lesson" session about mean, median, mode, and range. Students will apply the skills they have learned in the past few chapters to analyzing sets of data by finding the mean, median, mode, and range of them. These are such important skills, as they are used in numerous situations and careers.
What's Happening?
- Tuesday, November 22nd: Field Trip to Robert Crown in AM (Students MUST bring a sack lunch)
- Wednesday, November 23rd - Sunday, November 27th: Thanksgiving Break
