Weekly Newsletter 9/7-9/11

Here's What's Happening...

English/Language Arts: This week, we will continue practicing writing a GIST and a summary for a variety of texts.  We will also continue working with Word Work List 1 words, and learn about the slides we use to practice with these words.

Science: Students will work with the on-line simulation and other models in order to continue working on visualizing and understanding where stars are located.

Social Studies: We will get to know our Social Studies book by completing a Social Studies scavenger hunt!

Advanced Math: We didn't get to play the Multiple Game this past week, so we will start our week by playing that game on Tuesday.  Then, we will move forward into learning about numerical expressions and how to evaluate them using the order of operations.
