Newsletter 5/22-5/26

Here's What's Happening...

English/Language Arts: Students will use what they have learned to write a short argumentative essay on whether they would choose to move west or not.

Science: Students will write a Scientific Argument to wrap up the chapter.

Social Studies: We will continue Lesson 2, with the Boston Tea Party, and the Intolerable Acts.  Then they will learn about Paul Revere's ride, and the official start of the Revolution with Lexington and Concord.

Advanced Math:   We are going to work through as much of Unit 7 as we can, which focuses on positive and negative numbers, their opposites, and absolute value.

TGFD Graduation!
A reminder that our Too Good for Drugs Graduation Ceremony is taking place on Wednesday, May 24th at 9am in the Prairieview Gym. I hope you can join us that day, but if you can't, please try to do something special to celebrate your learner's accomplishment!

Students should plan to dress appropriately for this event. We encourage them to be comfortable, but nicely dressed. A nice pair of pants/bottoms and a top will work. They don't have to be super fancy (unless they want to be!)
