Here's What's Happening...
English/Language Arts: We wrap up Module 3 with a grammar focus. This week, students will learn all about Verbs! They will take an in-class Grammar Review on Friday.
Social Studies: Students will continue working on the last component of the colony project, which is to create an informational video that will persuade others to locate to their colony!
Advanced Math: We got a little behind schedule, so students will take the quiz for Unit 5, Lesson 1-10 on Tuesday. We will spend Monday reviewing. Then we will do two quick lessons on Greatest Common Factor & Least Common Multiple, which are the last two concepts we will cover for the unit. Students will take a test on Unit 5 on Friday.

TGFD Week 6
In week 6, students learned about proper use of prescription medicine and over the counter medicine. Homework this week requires you and your learner to complete a crossword puzzle with information regarding this topic. Please remember to sign and return the homework page by Thursday!
ISA Testing
On Tuesday morning, students will take the last session of the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA). This is a state assessment that evaluates how students are doing with meeting science standards. These tests do not affect their grades and are not used to help with making decisions for Lakeview. Even so, we ask students to give their best efforts, and you can help at home by making sure they get a good night's sleep and have a good breakfast in the morning. The tests are not timed, but are expected to take approximately 45 minutes.
Spirit Week!
To get us pumped up for our upcoming spring break, we will be having a spirit week! Here is a list of each day's activity:
